Reflection Week 7
Awesome week. Scan and skimming was a key skill learnt this week. Students were model a number of articles and these were work on as a class. they were then asked to research a topic based around Fifa World Cup countries.
Maths assessment showed remarkable improvements most increasing their February marks by 80% or more. Students are more aware of the need to learn a range of strategies to solve problems.
Students are loving using the donut giving news and then using Moshi to record their ideas. Reading SLA proved very successful students are more independent and I was able to work with individuals and groups more often. Scripts are well written and most importantly students are helping each other in their groups.
Interviews: These have been very successful in regards to the students talking about their learning and their next steps.
Puppet scripts unable to perform shows. Position of hand on background needed and backgrounds needed.

Reflection Week 8
Puppet show performed but not recorded. Students lack the finer points. Success criteria set up . This has help guide students in upping their performance. Will film next week.
Big focus on the Arts: Water colours. Awesome quality of Art work.
Netball skills big focus on learning rules, participating and trying something different. Very successful sessions.
Year's concentrated on Wiki skills.Gifs, widgets and HTML uploaded successfully learnt.

Focus this week on developing quality writing examples and editing. Students to write to other classes next week on Moshi.

Reflection Week 9
Need to assess puppet shows this week and weather scripts based on students criteria. Aim to develop next step learning.
Maths focus based around adding fractions , equivalent fractions and for skippers how to say fractions. Introduce the terms < > and =. Still to work on multiplication of freactions with division but need to work on place value less than 1. Times and division also found fraction of whole numbers (more work still needed).
Reworked recounts. Focus on introducing new vocabulary by adding to Nouns with adjectives, verbs with add verbs and replacing words such as then, got and it.
Developed a criteria for puppet shows (more work needed however.)
Students aware of most netball rules and are writing instructions how to play netball.
Awesome water colours most students have understood the concepts of mixing colours and selecting the right brushes.
Completed assessment on weather. Some impressive results. Need to focus more on skills next unit.

Reflection Week 10
Made maths games based on Fractions ,integrated with instructional writing. As the students had a purpose

these were made to a high quality.
Jaymie made her own Success Criteria for performing a play, amazing feat . Students then made their own criteria for their landscape paintings.
Students had very little support however due to the nature of learning in Room 10 this was relatively easily achieved. Awesome to see students are self reflecting and able to identify and break down learning steps. Students who have problems with written language were buddied up. Selecting
the most important next step learning outcome is my next focus .
Higher order blooms has been the main focus of week 10.
Possible topic for next term has been discussed with the students and they have selected what they want to learn. Have decided to make the unit based around values (Superheroes).
